Three emergency alerts for the Halifax region within several hours is again creating discourse over their usage. Nova Scotia RCMP was urging people Tuesday night to stay inside or seek shelter over reports of what they called a "dangerous man with a machete." As Kendra Gannon reports, the police force says while it might result in "alert fatigue," safety still trumps all. – May 6, 2026
