The new Jean Marie River Bridge on Highway 1 is now open to the public, the NWT government says.
The GNWT says the bridge opened on Wednesday, replacing an ageing crossing that had reached the end of its service life and required reduced speeds, single-lane traffic and frequent maintenance.
