Bodies of four Italian divers have been discovered in a sea cave off the coast of Shaviyani Atoll in the Maldives, the Italian foreign ministry said on Monday.
The divers were reported missing after their boat returned to the marina without them on Saturday evening local time (Sunday morning GMT).
Search and rescue teams from the Maldivian coast guard as well as private diving companies combed the area where the divers had last been seen. The bodies were found in a sea cave approximately 20 meters below the surface.
