Trump says he’s called off Iran strike planned for Tuesday at request of Gulf allies

President Donald Trump said Thursday that he had cancelled a military operation against Iran which was scheduled to take place on Tuesday. "The strike has been called off at the request of our very strategic and important partners in the Gulf," White House press secretary Sarah Sanders told reporters during a briefing. She added, "The decision is based on the need for continued diplomatic efforts to resolve ongoing concerns with Iran."
