Elon Musk has lost a legal battle with Sam Altman’s artificial intelligence company, OpenAI. The Canadian businessman filed a lawsuit in 2021 claiming that OpenAI had violated their agreement by developing and releasing AI models without his consent.
In a court ruling issued on Thursday, a US federal judge dismissed much of Musk's case, finding that the terms of the agreement between the parties were ambiguous. The judge also ruled that Musk’s claims for breach of contract and misappropriation of trade secrets lacked sufficient evidence to proceed to trial.
