Detroit Tigers ace Tarik Skubal is back on the mound, throwing bullpen sessions more than two weeks after undergoing Tommy John surgery. The 24-year-old left-hander, who was acquired in a trade with the Houston Astros last offseason, has been making progress in his recovery and is now able to throw from the stretch.
"The rehab process has gone well so far," said Tigers manager A.J. Hinch during a recent press conference. "Tarik's worked hard and shown significant improvement. We're cautiously optimistic about where he stands."
