Louis Vachon has joined an investor group that is making a $230-million offer for Cobham plc's Ultra Electronics Canada and its Marconi Technologies business.
Mr. Vachon, who is chairman of Toronto-based private equity firm CD&R Canada, said in a statement Tuesday that he was joining the investor group because he “believes this represents an attractive investment opportunity.” He did not disclose his stake or the other investors involved.
