The Nova Scotia Supreme Court has handed down a nine-year sentence to Bruce Douglas Hatfield for sexually abusing his daughter's friend.
According to court documents, Hatfield, 48, of Liverpool, N.S., was found guilty on two counts of sexual interference with a person under the age of 16 and one count of possessing child pornography. The victim was identified as a 12-year-old girl who was staying at Hatfield's home during the summer of 2022.
