Thirty-three people have been arrested in what the Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) has called the “largest illicit drug seizure in Manitoba history.” A two-year investigation — called ‘Project Puma’ — which was conducted in Manitoba, Alberta, and northwestern Ontario, resulted in the seizure of more than $37.2 million worth of cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl, as well as 14 firearms, $1.35 million in illegal cigarettes, seven vehicles, and approximately $825,000 in cash.
