Yellowknife RCMP said a 28-year-old man from Nunavut reported missing in the city on May 31 was found deceased Tuesday.
The RCMP said the NWT coroner’s service has been in contact with Johnny Jr Ningeongan’s family in Nunavut and is leading the investigation.
“The RCMP wishes to thank the members of the public who assisted in the search. Our thoughts are with Mr. Ningeongan’s family at this time,” the RCMP said in a statement.
The police said an autopsy has been ordered.
