New law targets drug traffickers in Saskatchewan
The Response to Illicit Drugs Act applies to offenders who are involved with specific highly addictive drugs.
Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe says the province will require some with addictions to be ordered to get treatment against their will. The measure was announced Wednesday in the provinces speech from the throne, which focused on cracking down on drugs. Oct. 22, 2025
