This summer will involve the planting of 1.5 million trees along a stretch of Highway 3 and near Behchokǫ̀ and Wekweètì, the Tłı̨chǫ Government says.
The program is the latest segment of a multi-year project launched in 2025 that promised to plant 12 million trees over seven years. The Tłı̨chǫ Government now says its target is 13 million over six years.
