PHOTO BY FILE PHOTO Article content A Bridgewater teen accused of plotting simultaneous attacks at two high schools has had his charges adjourned for two months. Article content The 16-year-old boy’s identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He was arrested March 17, when Bridgewater police searched his home and allegedly seized detailed handwritten plans, imitation weapons, including a roughly made pipe bomb and assault rifle, electronic devices, including a cellphone and a laptop, and articles of clothing with hate symbols and concerning comments on them. Article content Article content Article content He was charged with conspiring with a Manitoba boy to commit murder and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm to students at Park View Education Centre in Bridgewater. In June, police filed an additional charge of counselling the Manitoba boy to commit murder. Article content The Nova Scotia boy remained in custody for almost four months until the Crown consented July 14 to his release on strict conditions in Bridgewater youth court. Article content The case returned to court Wednesday, when defence lawyer Shawnee Gregory asked that election and plea on the charges be adjourned until Nov. 4 to allow the boy to continue to access services put in place after he was granted bail. Article content Adjournment ‘makes sense’ Article content Crown attorney Peter Dostal, who  took over the file recently from Shauna MacDonald, had no issue with the defence request, which came with a waiver of unreasonable delay.
