PHOTO BY IAN NATHANSON /CAPE BRETON POST Article content Some hoping to get into the growing film industry in Cape Breton now have an opportunity to apply for no-cost short-term education at the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) Sydney Waterfront Campus.  Article content Article content Three-to-five-day course workshops for: Grip and Lighting; Locations Audio (sound); and Production Assistant (PA) will begin this fall. To be eligible, registrants must be unemployed. The application deadline is Sept. 9.  Article content Article content The program is being offered at no cost through the Nova Scotia Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration’s One Journey program with support from the Nova Scotia Department of Communities, Culture, Tourism, and Heritage.  Article content The Cape Breton Partnership, in collaboration with the NSCC, has opened registration for its new Film Accelerator Program.
