Article content Organized by the Town of New Glasgow in collaboration with Glasgow Square Theatre, the long-awaited summer event finally occurred after several reschedules of the planned Summer Kickoff festival, which was the previously cancelled pre-Canada Day celebration. Article content Article content Article content Due to the weather, the event had to be moved from its original location at the Scott W. Weeks Sports Complex on Park Street to the indoor venue at the Glasgow Square Theatre. Article content “This was a great summer for us all,” said Morgan Simms, of Glasgow Square Theatre. Article content “Due to some unfortunate bad weather earlier this summer, we had to reschedule the Summer Kickoff. But now we finally get the chance to celebrate summer with a proper farewell party. Everything from The Jubilee, the Festival of the Tartans, and all of the Glasgow Square programming went really well. We’re certainly looking forward to doing it all over again next year.” Article content New Glasgow residents attended the Summer Sendoff, which was moved from the Scott W.
