Featured below are companies that have experienced recent insider trading activity in the public market through their direct and indirect ownerships, including accounts they have control or direction over. The list features insider transaction activity; it does not convey total ownership information as an insider may hold numerous accounts. Keep in mind, when looking at transaction activities by insiders, purchasing activity may reflect perceived value in a security. Selling activity may or may not be related to a stock’s valuation; perhaps an insider needs to raise money for personal reasons. An insider’s total holdings should be considered because a sale may, in context, be insignificant if this person has a large remaining position in the company. Listed below are four stocks that have had recent selling activity in the public market reported by insiders. Andean Precious Metals Corp. (APM-T -4.36% decrease ) On Sept. 9, director Grant Angwin sold 25,000 shares at a price per share of $7.1025, reducing the holdings in this particular account to 64,498 shares. Proceeds from the sale totaled more than $177,000, not including commission charges. Metro Inc. (MRU-T +3.85% increase ) On Sept. 8, vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary Simon Rivet exercised his options, receiving 2,650 shares at a cost per share of $56.92, and sold 2,650 shares at a price per share of $89.347, leaving 20,225 shares in this particular account. Net proceeds totaled more than $85,000, not including any associated transaction fees. Onex Corp. (ONEX-T -1.20% decrease ) On Sept. 8, Michael Lay sold 4,470 shares at a price per share of $109.81 for an account in which he has indirect ownership (family foundation), after which this specific account did not hold any shares. Proceeds from the sale exceeded $490,000, excluding commission charges. Mr. Lay is the executive chair of ONCAP, a subsidiary of Onex Corp. Sun Life Financial Inc.
