PHOTO BY OTTAWA POLICE SERVICE /Handout Article content The Ottawa Police Service has released a photo and issued a request for public assistance in finding a 50-year-old man in connection with three jewelry store robberies at different local shopping centres in September. Article content Attempts have been made to locate Alain Therrien, but his whereabouts were unknown as of Sept. 24, an OPS media release said, adding that a first-instance warrant had been issued for Therrien’s arrest. Article content Article content The release said the robberies occurred on Sept. 11, Sept. 17 and Sept. 22. Article content It also said Therrien had been charged with three counts each of robbery and mischief over $5,000 and one count of failure to comply with a release order. Article content Anyone with information about Therrien’s whereabouts was asked to contact the OPS Robbery Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5116.
