The Ottawa Police Service issued a request for public aid in locating 85-year-old David Hobbs on Friday evening.

An OPS release said Hobbs had last been seen in the area of the 1000 block of Carling Avenue at about 1 p.m.

At the time, he was wearing a grey long sleeve jacket with grey sweat pants, the release said, adding that Hobbs used a red walker.

He was described as a white male standing six feet tall with a medium build, short grey hair, grey and brown facial hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts was asked to contact the OPS Central District Staff Desk at 613-236-1222, ext. 5212.
