49th-parallel boundary agreement to the Rocky Mountains
British and American commissioners established the boundary along the 49th parallel from the Lake of the Woods westward to the Rocky Mountains in 1818.
Not publication-ready. This did not fix the Pacific boundary; the Oregon settlement followed in 1846. Local survey deviations and Indigenous cross-border relations need separate treatment.
