Article content A man was arrested for a series of apparently unprovoked spitting and punching attacks on strangers in downtown Vancouver on Thursday. Article content Article content Vancouver Police received multiple reports of a man acting erratically and assaulting people, the first incident occurring around 9:50 a.m., when man allegedly punched somebody in the face near Seymour and Georgia streets. Article content Throughout that morning and early afternoon, police allege that same man spat in a man’s face around Davie and Granville streets, and did the same thing to another man near Georgia and Hamilton streets. Article content A man was later located and arrested around 1 p.m. in connection to the three incidents. Article content Gregory Edwin Lawrence Brumwell, 45, remains in police custody after being charged with three counts of assault.
