PHOTO BY SURREY POLICE DEPARTMENT Article content The Surrey Police Service has issued a warning about an offender with a history of assault and indecent acts against women moving into the community. Article content Skylar Wayne Pelletier, 26, has a history of violent and sexual offences and poses a significant risk of committing further offences, said Surrey police. Article content Article content At 16, Pelletier was found guilty of breaking into a Vancouver home in September 2016 for the purpose of committing sexual assault. He had also pleaded guilty to separate incidents including assaulting a family member by stomping on her head and exposing himself to women while he was living at Easter Seals house. Article content Article content He also admitted to assaulting another inmate in a youth correction centre in Burnaby and punching a guard several times. Interested in more newsletters? Browse here. Article content Pelletier was the subject of a similar public warning by the Vancouver Police Department in 2024 after he moved into a halfway house. Article content In 2025, he was arrested after a woman reported a man masturbating in the laneway and peeping into homes near Woodland Drive and East Broadway. He was found guilty of breaching a long-term supervision order. Article content Pelletier is described as 6-foot-2, with short black hair, brown eyes and a heavy build. Article content He will be under electronic monitoring, said police, and is required to comply with several conditions, including not going within two blocks of the 2500-block of Woodland Drive in Vancouver; not buying, possessing or using alcohol or drugs; and a curfew from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Article content Investigators are asking anyone who sees Pelletier breaching his release conditions to…
