Eshana Gohil/Cabin Radio Share A Yellowknife medical aesthetics clinic has moved into a larger space, saying it is working to expand services available locally.  Glóa Medical Aesthetics Clinic, owned by nurse practitioner Allyson Arychuk, opened in June 2024 in an 80-square-foot space downtown. After two years, Arychuk says the clinic had outgrown the space.  The new location, which opened in August, has two treatment rooms. One is dedicated to perimenopause and menopause care, while the other offers the likes of skincare consultations, neurotoxin and dermal filler treatments, microneedling and hair restoration.  Arychuk says part of her motivation for opening the clinic was seeing Yellowknife residents travel south for services that were not available locally.  “I really wanted to create a space similar to spaces that are down south, because I know a lot of people will access those spaces when they go down south,” she told Cabin Radio. “Why can’t we have similar services offered here?” Advertisement. Eshana Gohil/Cabin Radio The clinic also offers services Arychuk says were not previously available in Yellowknife, including platelet-rich plasma treatments for hair restoration, cosmetic varicose vein treatments and radiofrequency microneedling.  Arychuk hopes to save clients from travelling to Edmonton or Calgary, particularly when treatments require multiple appointments.  The clinic also provides pharmaceutical-grade skincare products, Arychuk said, emphasizing education as a service she offers.  Glóa held its grand reopening on September 19.
