Conservatives continue their efforts to recover following Kerry-Lynne Findlay’s resignation as leader. Cariboo-Chilcotin MLA Lorne Doerkson was named interim leader on Sunday, with his first order of business Monday being to welcome defectors back into the party’s fold. Article content Meanwhile, eight other former B.C. Conservative MLAs have joined forces as part of a new centre right party. The unnamed party later announced it would be merger under Mike Bernier’s CentreBC banner, with Bernier stepping aside to allow Peter Milobar to serve as leader of the newly amalgamated group.
