Blindspot
Stories where one side of the political spectrum covered the news and the other side (almost) didn’t. A left blindspot means right-leaning outlets stayed quiet; a right blindspot means the left did. A blindspot is a coverage gap, not proof that a story is being suppressed — sometimes an outlet simply has no reporter on that beat.

Subscribers see why each side was silent — bureau presence, beat depth, and how young the story still is.
Unlock with Starter →Every article in a cluster is banded by its own bias score (left, center-left, center, center-right, right). A side is called silent when the quiet side holds a quarter or less of the two-sided (left + right) coverage and is at least three articles behind, out of at least four articles total. This measures which side of the spectrum covered a story, not how many outlets in total ran it — see the archive for the outlet-count view.
