Article content Before the festival officially begins, fans will get a chance to see the iconic trophy at Eau Claire Plaza on Nov. 8. In partnership with the Canadian Armed Forces, fans will get to witness the “spectacular arrival” of the Grey Cup as a kickoff to the festivities to come, said festival committee co-chair Deborah Yedlin. Article content Crown a mayor Article content The festival will also feature its own official mayor — all that’s required is four paws and enough bark to wrangle the masses. Article content A dog mayor will be crowned as the official dog of the Grey Cup Festival. While details haven’t been revealed, Yedlin said the pooch will play a vital role. Article content Street Festival Article content The free Street Festival takes over the Stampede grounds from the Big Four Roadhouse to the BMO Centre from Nov. 12 to 14, open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
