Article content Just before 9 p.m. officers responded to a report of a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 16 between Range Road 220 and Range Road 221 in Strathcona County, said Alberta RCMP in a media release. Article content Article content Police said three trucks were heading westbound on Highway 16, and one was heading eastbound in the westbound lane on Highway 16 at the time of the crash. Article content Article content Strathcona County RCMP, Fire, and emergency crews attended the scene. The drivers and occupants of the three westbound trucks sustained minor injuries, while one person was transported to hospital as a precaution. He was transported to hospital where he died. Article content Police say the cause of the collision still remains under investigation.
