Article content Mike Stiles, president of the Evanston Creekside Community Association, said Friday’s fatal crash has left residents with mixed emotions, from grief for the young man to frustrations over what he described as a long-standing speeding problem in the community. It’s been getting worse and worse with the surrounding communities opening up (and) more access in and out of Evanston,” Stiles said. According to the Calgary Police Service, the motorcyclist hit a curb and lost control, striking a fire hydrant before coming to a stop.
