Article content The MOU comes as electricity demand grows across Western Canada and up north. It prioritizes reliability, long-term affordability and strengthening the security of electricity systems, the evaluation of nuclear technologies, and exploring ways to enhance electricity transmission. Article content The three jurisdictions are looking to establish a framework to move ahead with collaboration and information-sharing related to nuclear generation technologies such as large-scale nuclear reactors, small modular reactors, microreactors and to enhance regional transmission infrastructure.
